Athenæum is inspired by vintage book covers and interior pages, including The Bird by Jules Michelet and a Pride and Prejudice cover by Jane Austen. Rooted in the idea of an athenaeum—a place devoted to learning, culture, and the quiet exchange of ideas—this collection evokes the romance of old libraries, well-loved pages, and stories passed from hand to hand.

It brings together complete compositions, typography, florals, frames, and decorative elements drawn from antique book design. 

Spine elements are designed to pair with the Bookish Mould, making it easy to create detailed book stacks and literary accents. Frames, borders, and corners are thoughtfully nested throughout for versatility, making this set ideal for book-themed projects and library-inspired décor.

Whether applied to books, trays, décor pieces, or mixed-media artwork, this transfer adds a refined metallic touch that complements both vintage and modern projects.

Handy Tip: 
Depending on the final top coat used, you can maximize or play down the final sheen of the transfer to fit your project's aesthetic. 

If you are familiar with traditional IOD Transfers, they apply similarly but may take a bit more patience in areas of fine detail. Take your time, and don’t press any harder than you usually would, as this can hinder the release rather than help.

Since the designs are more opaque than previous versions, they will show up well against dark colors as well as light.
